Till 1911, it was the capital of British India, Kolkata. A city by the bank of the river Hooghly. The river Hoogly plays a very significant role in the heart of Kolkata and me. Every time I find myself in a totally different way whenever I visit the side of the river. But Kolkata is bigger than this. The city has its own intro, buildup, climax and in the end, calmness, allowing you to breathe. Like a perfect drama by a great artist. The city is full of people, noise, chaos, and dust. But there is something mysterious about the city. Like history. Maybe the former capital is still living in the past.  

     

In this album, I'm showing some of the pictures that I have clicked during my time in Kolkata. Another two albums, Maidan and Mysterious Calcutta, are also part of this album. Maidan and the animal, Horse, always give me quietness. The animal represents the whole Kolkata for me, so fast but still so calm. Every image is a symbol of my own existence.
